Exchange Opportunities

FOR VINUNIVERSITY STUDENTS
STUDENT EXCHANGE ON A RECIPROCAL BASIS
STUDENT EXCHANGE ON A RECIPROCAL BASIS
In this exchange program, when one VinUni student studies at a partner university, a student from that university will attend VinUni for the same duration. Accepted students can spend one or two semesters at a partner institution without paying tuition fees there, but must continue paying VinUni tuition. They are responsible for all other costs, including accommodation, airfare, insurance, and living expenses. Additional financial support may be available during the application process. The number of exchange slots is limited by agreements between VinUni and the partner universities.

Eligible criteria for application:

To participate in an OSEP, students must:

  • Be active full-time students at VinUniversity.
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and meet the host university’s academic requirements.
  • Have no major disciplinary actions (Level 3 and above) at the time of application.
  • Have completed at least 2 semesters at VinUniversity and have at least one semester remaining before graduation. Cohorts 2023, 2024, and 2025 are eligible.
  • Maintain good financial standing at VinUniversity.
  • Meet all language requirements set by host institutions (see the provided LINK for details).
INTEGRATED DEGREE PROGRAMS
At VinUniversity (VinUni), we offer integrated degree programs alongside traditional tracks, allowing students to fast track their studies. These programs, established with renowned partner universities, enable students to earn two bachelor’s degrees or a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. Students will complete Phase 1 at VinUni and Phase 2 at a partner university abroad. Program formats include 3+2, 4+1, and 2+2 options. The fast-tracking Bachelor’s–Master’s module lets students earn credits toward their Master’s while completing their Bachelor’s, potentially saving costs and allowing graduation up to 12 months earlier. This pathway promotes a smooth transition to higher degrees efficiently and cost-effectively.
SELF-ARRANGED EXCHANGE PROGRAM OR EXTERNALLY FUNDED EXCHANGE PROGRAM
SELF-ARRANGED EXCHANGE PROGRAM OR EXTERNALLY FUNDED EXCHANGE PROGRAM
VinUni students wishing to study at universities without an exchange agreement may personally plan and finance their studies abroad. They are responsible for applying directly to the host institution and managing practical matters. Most universities accept "Visiting/Exchange Students" on a fee-paying or scholarship basis, with decisions made by the host institution. Before committing, students should research the program and understand VinUni's Leave of Absence and credit transfer policies. Approval from VinUni is required before joining, and students can apply for credit transfer upon returning, following existing protocols.
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1. Inbound Student Exchange On A Reciprocal Basis

General Information

Students from partner universities can study at VinUniversity for one or two semesters as exchange students, with tuition paid to their home university and credits transferable back. This is a reciprocal exchange—for each incoming student, one VinUniversity student studies abroad for the same duration.

To apply, your university must have an active exchange agreement with VinUniversity, and you must be officially nominated. Check VinUniversity’s list of exchange partners and consult your university’s exchange office.

If no partnership exists, you may apply as a fee-paying Study Abroad student, with approval for academic leave from your home university. Always consult your academic advisor about credit transfer before applying.

2. Study Away Program

The Study Away Program offers short-term exchange opportunities for international students seeking global exposure at VinUniversity. Participants enjoy a vibrant campus-based experience, build international connections, and immerse themselves in VinUniversity’s academic environment.

Study Away students can:

  • Join research projects with faculty
  • Participate in student clubs and career seminars
  • Access Work-Study opportunities and internships
In 2020–21, over 50 international students joined from top universities like Cornell (USA), UTS (Australia), and EHL (Switzerland) — many called VinUniversity their second home.

📌 Students must be nominated by their home university to apply for this program
