VinUni Essential

VinUni Essential is a section designed to help students stay alert and focused while studying at VinUniversity, providing resources and tips for effective learning and well-being.

We are happy to introduce a community-based Lost & Found platform – now available online for everyone to use quickly and conveniently.

This is not a managed service counter, but a space where anyone can post about items they have lost or found to help each other.

πŸ“Œ To report a LOST item, please make a post including:

  • A brief description of the item
  • A photo (if possible)
  • Estimated time and location it was lost
  • Your name and contact details

πŸ“Œ To report a FOUND item, please:

  • Post a clear photo and description
  • Mention where and when you found it
  • Ask the claimant to confirm details before returning

πŸ•’ Important: Please report as soon as you realize an item is lost. The sooner, the better.

Let’s keep our campus safe and supportive by helping each other out!

We would like to bring to your attention several recent incidents in which VinUni students were targeted by increasingly sophisticated online scams. 🚨 In some cases, students were tricked into sharing personal information or unintentionally passing along inaccurate details to their families. These incidents highlight the rising complexity of scams that specifically target university students.

To help protect yourself and your loved ones, we kindly remind you to:

  1. Pause and verify: ⏳ If you receive urgent messages, unexpected documents, or unusual requests, please take a moment to verify their authenticity through official university channels.
  2. Protect your personal information: πŸ”’ Do not share personal, financial, or identity-related details with any third party unless you have confirmed their legitimacy.
  3. Talk to your family and friends: πŸ—£οΈ Encourage them to avoid oversharing personal information online, as scammers often use this data to create convincing scenarios.
  4. Report suspicious activity: πŸ“ž If you encounter any suspicious messages, calls, or interactions, please contact us immediately at connect-sam@vinuni.edu.vn.

Your safety and well-being remain our top priority. By staying informed and cautious, you help protect not only yourself but also our broader university community. πŸ’ͺ

We would like to address two important matters that have recently come to our attention, aimed at ensuring the well-being and integrity of our community.

Personal Belongings πŸ‘œ

As mentioned in our previous email, we kindly remind you to take full responsibility for safeguarding your personal belongings. Unfortunately, we have recently received reports of students β€œborrowing” items without the owner’s permission. 🚫 This behavior violates the Code of Conduct on theft and can result in serious consequences, including formal documentation and disciplinary action. Please ensure all interactions regarding personal items are respectful and consensual.

Financial Responsibility πŸ’°

We also urge you to manage your finances carefully. When lending money, consider the risks involved and only proceed if you are comfortable assuming full responsibility. The university cannot intervene in personal financial disputes.

By staying vigilant, you contribute to a respectful and supportive community.

Thank you for your cooperation! πŸ™ Should you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to SAM – Student Affairs Office.

We would like to inform you that the Student Financial Regulations and Tariff have been recently updated with important changes for Academic Year 2025–2026. These updates aim to provide additional support and clarity on tuition-related matters. πŸŽ“

Key updates include:

  • Family Tuition Assistance: A 2.5% tuition fee reduction for students with immediate family members (siblings, parents, spouses, or legal children) concurrently enrolled at VinUniversity. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦
  • Alumni Tuition Assistance: A 10% tuition fee reduction for VinUni alumni pursuing a second undergraduate degree or enrolling in a graduate program at the university. πŸŽ“
  • Annual Payment Discount: A 5% discount for students who pay their tuition and dormitory fees in full for the entire academic year by the specified deadline. πŸ’°
  • Academic Administrative Fee: Clarifications and updates on fees related to academic administrative services, such as student ID card replacement, certified document requests, tuition deferment or refund processing, program transfers, concurrent enrollment processing, and exam score reviews. πŸ“‘

These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to making quality education more accessible and transparent for our students and families. 🌟

πŸ“„ Please kindly read the full updated policy here: Financial Regulations and Tariff for Students

In recent months, there have been cases of fake announcements and documents falsely claiming to be from VinUniversity. 🚨 These documents were designed to deceive students and parents, particularly by imitating the style, logo, and tone of official university communications.

To ensure your safety and protect your rights, VinUni strictly advises all students and parents not to share personal information or transfer money to any individual or organization outside of the official VinUni system. πŸ›‘οΈ

Official VinUni Communication Channels:

  • 🌐 VinUniversity official website: vinuni.edu.vn
  • πŸ“± VinUniversity official Facebook page: facebook.com/vinuniversity
  • 🏒 Student Affairs Management Office at Student Life at VinUni
  • πŸ“§ Official emails from VinUni colleges, departments, or functional offices.

βœ… What You Should Do
If you notice any signs of fraud, extortion, or threats, please take the following steps immediately:

  • πŸ“ž Report to the Student Affairs Management Office (Room 117, Building I or connect-sam@vinuni.edu.vn) for timely support.
  • πŸš” Contact your local Police Department.
  • πŸ“² Submit a report through the VNeID app following guidance from the Ministry of Public Security.

VinUniversity is committed to creating a safe and transparent environment for all students and their families. Thank you for your attention and cooperation. πŸ™
